Most franchisees are small businesses. The consultation paper asks whether franchisees that are not small businesses face similar issues.

Protecting small businesses in business-to-business dealings

The consultation paper asks for updated information about unfair trading practices in business-to-business dealings. We want this information to inform government decision making on laws to protect small businesses.

Business-to-business dealings includes when a small business:

  • sells products or services to another business

  • buys goods from another business to sell to the public.
