Closed 25 Sep 2017

Opened 4 Sep 2017

Overview

One of the functions of FSAC as set out in its Charter is to provide industry views on the performance of the financial regulators - the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC); the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA); and the Payment System Board (PSB).

This survey is designed to collate members' views on each of the regulators across the six areas agreed at the July 2017 meeting:

(1) whether the regulators are identifying the most appropriate priorities/risks;

(2) whether the regulators are taking appropriate action to support the Government's economic agenda;

(3) the regulators' spproach to consultation and engagement including in relation to mitigating any unintended consequences associated with policy implementation;

(4) the regulators' approach to facilitating and understanding business;

(5) what steps regulators are taking in relation to promoting competition and efficient markets; and

(6) how effectively the regulators are working together.

The results of this survey will be collated and disussed at the upcoming FASC Meeting on 20 November 2017 in Melbourne.

To enable FSAC to fulfil its responsibilities under the Charter, and to facilitate discussion in November, could you please complete the following survey.
