We are seeking feedback on draft legislation to allow more taxpayers to report and pay Pay as you go (PAYG) instalment amounts monthly.
The draft amendments would:
allow taxpayers required to report and pay PAYG instalments to do so on a monthly basis from 1 July 2027
require taxpayers with a demonstrated history of non-compliance with their tax obligations to report and pay their PAYG instalments monthly.

The government announced these reforms in the 2026–27 Budget.
